Designing for the future
I’m Lottie Waterhouse, a sustainable product designer specialising in inclusive solutions for education.
As a 1st class honours graduate at Falmouth University, I’ve spent the past few years immersed in user‑centred research, exploring how classroom environments can better support pupils with diverse sensory, physical, and behavioural needs. My work consistently focuses on sustainability, accessibility, and calm, considered design.
Why I Started SENsible Solutions
SENsible Solutions was born from a simple belief: every child deserves a learning space that supports their comfort, confidence, and independence. Through working closely with teachers, SENCOs, occupational therapists, and families, I saw how traditional classroom furniture often fails to meet the needs of neurodivergent and physically diverse learners. I wanted to change that.
Introducing Sensiblock
Sensiblock is my flagship product — a modular, durable, sensory‑supportive seating system designed to adapt to each child. It combines stability, gentle movement, and tactile choice, helping pupils regulate their bodies while staying engaged in learning. Sensiblock is built with sustainable materials, calm aesthetics, and a focus on long-term usability in real classrooms.
